About Us

Our Mission

At Kinetic Movement our goal is to bring the joy of movement to all ages and all people. We offer a variety of classes to help encourage health and wellness. Above all we strive to promote the love and art that is the soul of all forms of dance.

Our History

Kinetic Movement Center started life as Footwork Dance Studio in 1983. The director Debra Druse operated Footwork for 20 years. In 2004 her student, Tindal Jordan, returned to Rockport and bought the studio from her mentor in 2006. Tindal dreamed of expanding to include various types of movement in one studio & so KMC was born. We moved into the new studio in 2017. For 40 years Kinetic Movement has been a part of the Coastal Bend community.

Our Director

Tindal Jordan started her dance career at the age 4 when searching for a talent for her pageants. Soon the love of dance became her passion. She started competing at age 10, and made it to nationals twice. In high school she traveled with Dance Caravan as a Caravan Kid for 2 summers. During that time she trained with many top choreographers and teachers from the U.S. While attending Rockport-Fulton High School, Tindal was a member of the Emeralds Dance team. After graduating high school Tindal moved to LA as a scholarship dancer with Tremaine. Education has always been important to Tindal so after her time in California she enrolled in Oklahoma City University for psychology and dance. The school is strong in musical theater and She got to train in acting, singing, and learn stage production. As well as learning tap and ballet pedagogy, classic jazz, lyrical, classical ballet and pointe. After she graduated in 2002 she moved to Austin and danced at Tapestry. Tindal moved home in 2004 to be with family and begin her journey at her home  Footwork Dance Studio. She has been sharing her passion for over 15 years in her home town and loves every minute of it!

Abbi Busack- I am a sophomore                           at Coastal Bend College. I studied                          dance for over ten years with                             training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, and my favorite, Acro! Ballet was my strongest gift and in 2016 I spent 3 weeks at the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, as well as training and performing with the Louisville Ballet. I was a Game-day Cheerleader at Stephen F Austin this past school year and was a Varsity Cheerleader all 4 years at RFHS. Dance and tumbling have always been such a passion of mine and I am excited to help grow that passion in all the dancers I get to teach!
